What umegle is
umegle pairs you with one other person for a live, face-to-face video chat. That is the entire product. You tap, someone appears, you talk. If it clicks you stay, and if it does not you tap again. Everything else on this site exists to serve those few seconds.
What umegle refuses to be
Not a feed. Not a swiping deck. Not a place that needs your email, your photos, or twenty minutes of profile-building before anything happens. We think the profile era taught everyone to browse people instead of talking to them — umegle is a small bet in the other direction. Which is also why we would rather you had one conversation worth remembering than an hour of tapping past faces.
The boring-but-important part
umegle is for adults only — you confirm you are 18 or older before anything starts. Chats are private 1-on-1 rooms, and a video chat begins once you allow camera and microphone access in the browser. Starting is free; some premium extras use coins. The formal rules live in the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and the practical safety side is on our Safety page.
