Every match is a private room with exactly two people in it: you and one stranger. Nobody else can drop in, and there is no audience. That is what makes a random video chat feel like a real conversation instead of a broadcast — it is just the two of you until one of you leaves.
Camera, mic, or just words
umegle is built for face-to-face video, so a video chat starts once you allow camera access in the browser. From there you stay in charge of what you share: on a phone you can flip to the rear camera mid-call, your own microphone mutes from the room screen, and you can type instead of talking. You can change your mind mid-room — nothing is locked in.
Skip to the next face
Not clicking with the person in front of you? One tap on Skip closes the room and umegle finds someone new — instantly. There is no cooldown and no limit, so you can keep meeting people until a conversation actually lands.

You are never stuck. Skip and your own mic mute sit right on the room screen, report and block live on the other person's profile page, and moderation runs around the clock behind the scenes. Anything out of line ends the session, not your evening — so the fun part stays the focus.
